Jodi Parson, CPP

Jodi L. Parsons, CPP has over 20 years of experience in the payroll field as well as 18 years of experience in the accounts payable field.  Her current responsibilities include oversight of payroll for all Major League and Minor League Players and Staff as well as office and seasonal staff.  Jodi oversees the club's payroll by ensuring accuracy and compliance as well as the 401(k) retirement plans and non-uniformed personnel pension plan.

Ms. Parsons is involved with the American Payroll Association (APA).  She served as APA’s 2019-2020 President.  In addition, she is a member of APA’s National Speakers Bureau, Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force-Best Practices Subcommittee, Government Relations Taskforce Unemployment Workgroup and Hotline Referral Committee.  Ms. Parsons has served in various leadership roles in the past including on the Board of Directors as a Vice President APA and President of the National Iowa Varsity Club, the University of Iowa’s letterman’s club.

Ms. Parsons holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa where she was team captain and a 4 year letter winner while participating on the women’s track team.  She became a Certified Payroll Professional in 2002 and recertified in 2007, 2012 and 2017.  Ms. Parsons was named the 2014 APA’s Payroll Woman of the Year.  She was previously awarded the 2011 American Accounts Payable Woman of the Year, 2010 American Accounts Payable Association Education Grant recipient, 2009 APA Meritorious Service Award winner and 2008 Kronos Education Grant recipient.

Community Outreach:

Since inception, the WMAC has been active in our community. For 2021, WMAC has chosen Covenant House Greater Washington as our Community Outreach. Due to COVID-19, our in-person opportunities have been cancelled. WMAC has created a goal to raise $5,000.00 for Covenant House during the year. WMAC will match any donation made through our website.
