WMAC Members attending Congress

The 36th Annual Congress will take place at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor Maryland this May. Since the conference is in our backyard, WMAC will have a large presence during the week. We hope you will be able to join us during the week for chapter festivities. There are opportunities to meet up each day, so please take the time to stop by and say Hi!

Do you want to get involved?

There are a couple of ways to get involved during the week. See below for the opportunities.

#1 - Lend a Hand at the Hospitality Booth

WMAC is teaming up with the Charles Town WV and Charm City local chapters to host the hospitality booth during the conference. This is our opportunity to welcome the 2,000+ payroll professionals from across the county to our home turf. We will have information on local attractions and some fun prizes to give away. The booth will be open during the expo hall times, and in between sessions.

We are looking for volunteers to help at the hospitality booth during the conference. The times are during each day Tuesday - Friday.

If you are interested in volunteering during any of these times, please complete the doodle form (Online Registration for Times).  Please put your first and last name on the online form. Be sure and register early, we expect the times to fill up fast.

#2 - Take a Moonlight Tour of DC

We will also host a “Monuments by Moonlight” tour as the conference closes Friday, May 18th. Experience the beauty and awe of our country's most stirring monuments in a whole new way... by moonlight. On the Monuments by Moonlight Tour you'll be transported to many of the city's most famous sights while enjoying the tranquil night and evening breeze. The tour is open to all Congress attendees, all members of the WMAC, Charles Town, and Charm City chapters, and their friends, family, and colleagues. Tickets are $35 per person. You can join the tour by registering on our website for the Congress Attendees Friday Night Social Event.

#3 - Grab a seat with us for lunch or at the general sessions

We don’t have official seats during the lunches and general sessions, but it can be surprisingly easy to find people in the crowd. Keep an eye on our social media accounts – Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to connect with other WMAC members. Many veteran attendees will set a spot to meet with their group, or exchange cell phone numbers to text updates with each other. We don’t want anyone to feel excluded, so please speak up if you would like to join us!

#4 - Evening social events

Just because class is over for the day doesn’t mean the party stops! Avoid the rush hour traffic and come hang out with us!
