March 25, 2017 Community Outreach

Saturday
March 25, 2017
8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Capital Area Food Bank
4900 Puerto Rico Ave, NE
Washington, DC 20017

Join WMAC’s Community Outreach committee for our fall event at the Capital Area Food Bank.  The Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) strengthens and fills in gaps in the hunger safety net under the Greater Washington Area.  They work with a network of 500 partner agencies to source out over 40 million pounds of food and they can only do it with our help in the DC Distribution Centers.  Volunteers typically pack and/or sort donated food during their time in the center.  The Capital Area Food Bank has been a popular destination for WMAC’s community outreach activities, and we hope you will join us on Saturday, March 25th to continue the tradition.

Space is limited, so if you are interested in joining us please be sure to register on the WMAC website ASAP!  The CAFB is metro accessible, and a WMAC representative will send out commuting information closer to the event for registered volunteers so we can arrive as a group.  Please note that closed-toe shoes are required.

If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact outreach@wmac-apa.org.
